2005 Favero Estate Sangiovese, Sonoma Valley appellation
2004 Sangiovese was so popular it has disappeared from our racks. However, the good news is Favero 2005 Sangiovese has arrived and is everything a Favero wine promises! The process to make this 2005 Estate Sangiovese started at harvest with the selection of very ripe fruit. These flavors are still very pronounced in the bottle. In addition, aromas of rose petals, coffee, cedar and dark chocolate are combined with this big, luscious fruit, spice, and balanced French oak. Food pairings range from Charcuterie and mature cheese plates, gourmet pizzas, beef, seasoned pork, and zest sauces. This is not a light wine by any means; 3-5 years of aging is recommended.
Only 100 cases made so this unique wine is a tasty steal at only $28

Rediscover this popular and much-sought-after classic wine with a reputation developed over the past 22 years. As always, the grapes are grown “just down the road” from Sonoma Enoteca Tasting Room on south Broadway,Town of Sonoma, on the famed Sangiacomo Family Vineyards. These top-quality vineyards are the single source of Chardonnay grapes for the past two decades of making this highly regarded wine.
This vintage exemplifies the style of wine we try to achieve at SOLITUDE. Layers of oak complement the tropical fruit flavors of the Carneros appellation. Our wine is dry, full and very rich but retains refreshing acidity to keep the wine well balanced. Traditional Burgundian techniques of yeast selection, barrel fermentation in French oak barrels, lees stirring and 100% malo-lactic fermentation increases complexity and richness.
We’re extremely pleased with this vintage because it exhibits the classic character of the Carneros. There are rich tropical fruit aromas, with smooth mouth-filling flavors and a crisp finish. The wine drinks beautifully in its youth and will gain aromatic and flavor complexity with additional age..
Just $29 per bottle.
